Resolutions

This year is going to be a tough one.

I have faced some of the most
challenging hurdles in my life so far.

It has been hard and it has been stressful.  But I know everything happens for a reason, I just need to figure out that reason.

I need to take this time and refocus.
I need to take a little time for me.

Get ready 2013 here I come.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we celebrated with all of Clay's extended family.

They had a bunch of activities for the little kids and even a visit from Santa! We sang some carols and enjoyed good food and good conversations with family.

Read Today

Currently I am working at Woodruff Elementary
running the Read Today program there.

Last year our kids earned a visit from Chopper 5 but because of weather and other news stories it kept getting delayed.   We were lucky enough to not only have Chopper 5 come and get the kids excited about reading but we were also chosen for the feature story.

It was very exciting and fun to be apart of!

Here is the family that the story was centered on...

Halloween 2012

I am a little behind on blogging...once again.

This is how we celebrated the twin's first Halloween....

I was pretty excited for this Halloween because I had been dreaming about the twins costumes from the day that I found out I was pregnant with twins.

Thing 1, Thing 2, and Cat in the Hat.

I had to do it!

Dear Cage,
You are so much fun right now!  I can't believe how fast you have changed from a tiny baby to a little boy.  You make my heart melt into a big puddle.

I just adore you.

Lately you have been learning so much so fast! You are working on your abc's and you can count to ten all by yourself.  You love learning and I hope that never changes.

You are one adventurous little guy.  Constantly pushing my limits and testing me.  We are learning together and some days are better than others.  I love you.  I love that you are strong willed and determined.

You are all boy, through and through.  People are constantly telling me how surprised they are by your abilities as a little 2 year old boy.  You can hit, kick, and throw a ball with the big boys.  You are constantly begging anyone to play ball with you.  I love how your face lights up as you play.  You scream with delight as you chase the ball around, it is so cute to watch.

I don't want to forget these little moments I have with you.  You are my first born.  My only son.  I love you more than words can describe and I am so proud to be your Mom.

Please be patient with me as I try to figure this parenting stuff out.  It is quite the juggling act with you and your sisters and some days are better than others.  Some days I am overwhelmed by the huge responsibility it is to be a parent.  Thank goodness I have you, such a sweet spirit, to help me figure this stuff out.

I love you forever,
Momma

I love having twins.  There I said it.

When we first found out that we were pregnant with twins we were shocked...dumbed founded more like it.  We just couldn't quite wrap our heads around the fact that two little people were about to join our family.

Fast forward to now.  The twins are 6 months old.  6 MONTHS OLD! Half a year.

It has been a dream come true.

Here is a little update about them...

Piper
belly laughing
rolling over
has tried cereal
freaks out when she is cold
loves to be swaddled and cuddled
loves her mommy

Harper
belly laughing
rolling over
doesn't like rice cereal
talks like crazy
loves to eat her hands (and her sister's hands)
loves her daddy

I love seeing their personalities blossom.
