We have been very lucky as far as health goes with the twins. They were born 4 weeks early but were very healthy. Unfortunately at their two week well check our pediatrician wanted to get an ultra sound of Piper's hips to check for hip displasia. Turns out she has a shallow hip socket on her left side and we were referred to a specialist in Salt Lake.
The specialist was very nice and confirmed the shallow socket on Piper but also wanted to examine Harper....little did I know that breach babies are prone to hip displasia...and it is more common in girls.
So both girls have mild cases but they have to wear little velcro harnesses to help push their hips deeper into socket.
As you can see they don't really like them. Thank goodness it is only temporary.
